Safety
Do it safely or not at ALL
At A.L.L. Construction, Inc., we pride ourselves on setting the example when it comes to safe work practices. One important role of our safety management team is to implement safe working policies, practices, and procedures that allow us to send employees home safe at the end of the day. In order to achieve this goal, our safety team must work diligently to ensure a positive safety culture within the organization from top-to-bottom.
The success of our safety program is heavily relied on employee commitment and compliance to the program. Because our employees are knowledgeable, professional, and goal-driven, we are able to succeed within our safety systems. As a company, we are constantly striving to improve ourselves in all aspects, and the safety department is no exception. Thanks to our employee commitment to safety, we have been recognized on several occasions, including:
- Contractors Association of West Virginia (CAWV) – 2020 Safety Achievement Award – Highway Division (Greater than 100,000 hours)
- Constructors Labor Council of West Virginia (CLC) – 2018 Safety Excellence Award – Outstanding Safety Record
- Contractors Association of West Virginia (CAWV) – 2017 Safety Achievement Award – Utility Division (Less than 50,000 hours)
- Contractors Association of West Virginia (CAWV) – 2015 Safety Achievement Award – Highway Division (Greater than 50,000 hours)
Our proactive approach to safety management means that we will work cohesively, alongside other supervision to resolve any potential issues before an incident occurs. Doing so will mitigate any possible hazards found within a work zone and vastly decrease the chance for incidents to occur. A few examples of proactive safety measure we incorporate are:
- Site Inspections
- Companywide Audits
- Performance and Behavioral Monitoring
- Constant Policy and Procedural Updates
By implementing a proactive approach to safety, our employees will experience a positive safety culture, which is known to prevent incidents from materializing.
As a member of the A.L.L. Construction Group Family, each and every employee has the means to “STOP” any work process they consider to exhibit unsafe behavior.
An example of this event could be an unsafe jobsite practice or conduct that is detrimental to the integrity of the project or ANY employee’s health. Once a SWA is initiated, all work will come to a complete standstill until the unsafe working environment is approved by both supervision and employees, alike.
